We were hoping to get away Sunday morning but the forecast was for Force 6 gusts and seas too big for Tikka from the strong Northerly winds. The forecast for Monday was better so we decided to sit tight and wait. This gave Martin the opportunity to catch up with us and he arrived at the marina about midday.
He stayed for lunch but decided to push on further so that we could meet up again in Amble on Monday. So it was soon time for him to peddle off into the sunset (well overcast and showery mostly)
Sam Cassell ‘s father treated us all this evening to a meal in the local curry house which was very much appreciated. They did a very nice Chicken Tikka. After being fed it was time for an early night. When we got back to the boat, Lou noticed that the windex was broken so instead of our early night it was a couple of trips up the mast in the dark with heavy rain and out with the tool box! All fixed by midnight so time for a few hours in bed and hopefully the foul weather gear will have dried a bit by morning. Oh well I never expected it to be easy.
