Day 43 Onward to Stranraer 16/07/16

The weather was due to ease today late morning. It was blowing a hooley last night so we expected a rough sea state for a while.

Unfortunately there is a train strike on and Kaz and Harry have had to leave a day early. We refuelled and I had to say my farewells again to my ever supportive wife and son.

It is times like this when I realise how lucky I am and how very important and precious they are to me. They give me the strength and determination to go on promoting Action for Children. Is it too much to ask for all children to grow up in a loving family?

Lou and I set off into some big rolling waves and a Forcie 5 gusting 6 but within a couple of hours the sea calmed and the wind eased. By 1830 the wind had eased too much and it was time to waken the engine again.
