The tide times today to get us out of Loch Ryan allowed us a bit of a lie in. We slipped from Stranraer at 1100 to head across to Northern Ireland. Not sure about Tikka but for me this was to be my first vist to the emerald Isle.
With light winds aft of the beam we sailed into Bangor with the spinnaker flying and arrived at this pretty little town at 2145.
A quick calculation determined that tomorrow would be another early start so we quickly put Tikka to bed before heading for a quick sample of the local Guiness. Apparently it tastes different than in England but I couldn’t tell. I think it may be a bit of a tourist promotion. We did find a traditional local pub though, “The Jenny Watts” and the locals were a good bunch.
