Day 55 Aberystwyth to Fishguard 28/07/16

It seems like 0330 is the time to rise to get the tide around the UK! We slipped our mooring at 0400.

It was a long sail today (54 miles) but we had favourable tides and winds for most of the day.

As the winds fluctuated throughout the day we adjusted our sails accordingly giving Ant and Daz plenty of opportunity to practise putting reefs in and out. (reducing or increasing the sail area for the wind strength).

We arrived at our destination at 1745 and picked up a local mooring. Fishguard is a working harbour and ferry terminal and to row ashore would be difficult. So we opted for an evening onboard and an early night.
