Day 57 Milford Haven via Jack Sound 30/07/16

To get through Jack Sound at the right time meant an 0400 start. Funny old thing. I seem to have a regular 0330 alarm set lately.

With clear skies and calm seas it was an enjoyable sail around to Milford Haven. The scenery and sailing was great with an abundance of sea birds around the islands.

Although quite industrial with gas and oil stations, Milford Haven maintains a particular charm. We past through the dock and into the safety of Milford Haven dock marina at 1030. Time to refuel and clean Tikka for the next crew change.

This was to be a full crew change ( apart from me that is, Tikka and I are inseperable). Dan, Ant and Daz have been a great crew giving me some fond memories to look back on. Dan has been with me for 6 weeks out of 8 and been a great 1st mate. So today was difficult to  say goodbye.

Each week has been difficult. Being together confined within 28 feet is a challenge in itself but what a great way to catch up and get to know each other better. I am blessed to have such good friends and family that have joined me on Tikka’s Travels. I am indebted to you all.

Today was also a day to be reunited with my ever supportive wife, Kaz and son, Harry. Accompanying them was Liz so we now have leg 1 crew reunited to sail the Bristol  channel.

Hello South Wales, do you know about Tikka’s Travels and Action for Children?
