Day 58 Fireworks in Tenby 31/07/16

With Tikka’s leg 1 crew now settled in on leg 9 we set off at a leisurely 0830 after saying bye to Ant.

Flat seas and a good wind allowed us to silence the engine after just 20 minutes and we sailed the rest of  the way to Tenby.

With the Asymmetric spinnaker flying we were met by Jamie Howard, a friend and ex work colleague from my days in the Navy serving on the Commando Helicopter Force. Jamie kindly provided us with fresh sea bass and took photographs from his boat in glorious sunshine. Thank you Jamie.

To finish the sailing we tacked into the harbour and sailed to the visitor mooring without the assistance of the engine.

A street party was in full flow in Tenby this evening ending in a spectacular fireworks display.  A good end to a fine day’s sailing with great company.
