Day 63 Crossing the Bristol channel to England 05/08/16

Repaired, refueled and serviced it was time for Tikka to push on again. Liz left in Cardiff to get back to her family and this leg was to be Kaz, Harry and me sailing back to England and past some sights we have seen regularly but on from ashore.

Living in Somerset it was great to be sailing down the Somerset coast. We past the islands of Flat Holm and Steep Holm at over 9 knots with the strong Bristol spring tide. Past Weston Super Mare, Brean Down and on to Watchet.

It was a fast sail catching the ebb tide but unfortunately to get into Watchet we were 3 hours early as the access is 2 hours either side of High Water. We hove to in Blue Anchor bay between Minehead and Watchet and waited for sufficient tidal height.

I'm sailing around the UK with family and friends onboard our yacht, Tikka, to raise awareness and money for " Action for Children "
