Day 64 A great welcome in Watchet 06/08/16

We arrived in Watchet the previous evening and this morning were surprised to find we were sitting in thick mud. Watchet harbour seems to have a bit of a problem with silting up but the friendliness of local people and the service provided by Ian the marina manager more than made up for a little mud.

A great setting with many bars and steam trains whistling by was topped off with glorious sunshine and a welcome visit from friends and family.

We checked the charts and weather forecast for our next destination, Padstow.  The forecast was for strong winds and rough seas so it looks like a waiting game to attempt the 80+ miles towards Cornwall.
